She was the first Canadian citizen to design an effigy for Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse A beaver, over the inscription "CANADA", is surrounded with the facial value, flanked on both sides by a maple leaf NOTE: In 1993 on the Reverse the rim denticles were removed and replaced with beads.
