Fr-9; KM-135; Cal-type-53#249. Currently, the finest certified of this type by NGC. In fact, only one other 4 Escudos in the entire colonial milled series has received a mint state designation by NGC, the other piece us a single coin of Charles IV dated 1802. A well struck, lustrous and attractive example of this early type. Brilliant and choice surfaces exhibiting only trivial marks. Accented with rich orange tone.
