1/2 Dollar    (sold for $3000.0)

1933-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. CAC Approved. Lovely blue and golden toning. This is definitely a fresh and frosty gem whose explosive luster combines with more than just a nuance of toning; the colors are especially vivid. Nicely struck with full details on both sides. Prior S-mint issues (those of 1920-28 for instance) seem to be miserably struck. Then in 1929 and again with this 1933-S, the mint at San Francisco got its act together (or fired the previous Quality Control supervisor) and produced high-quality coins. Absolutely Gem condition with no deviation from the standard. Pop 193; 80 finer, 73 in 66, 7 in 67 (PCGS # 6591) . Estimated Value $2,200 - 2,300. Categories:
