1854 N-18 R3 MS62. Lustrous light to medium brown with steel brown toning on the highpoints and 5% of the mint red remaining on the obverse, 20% on the reverse. There are two tiny specks of darker toning right of star 9 and a small diagonal nick on the bust tip. EDS, die state a, without any die clashmarks and all the fine die lines sharp. A shallow low spot covers much of the neck. Sharply struck except for minor weakness along the bottom edge of the bust. Tied for CC#5. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS64BN (NGC label included, and it shows the attribution and Reiver provenance). DWH #3017. Estimated Value $300-UP.
