1/2 Dollar    (sold for $3300.0)

1928 Hawaiian Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. A touch of light cream color toning. A lovely satiny mint gem with shimmering luster. One point removed for a small mark near Cook's nose. Bold relief from a sharp blow by the dies. Captain Cook visited the Hawaiian Islands twice, once in 1778, and again the next year. His landing site was Kealakekua Bay on the Big Island (PCGS # 9309) . Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,500. Categories: Commemorative Silver Coins
