1921. NGC graded MS-62. Lovely delicate golden-lilac toning. Popular Key Date. Only 246,000 pieces were struck of this scarce, key Walker, and it is rarely encountered in strict Mint State condition. While not known as a strike rarity, as other early issues are, the '21-P is very elusive with a full strike. This particular piece shows much better than average definition on the obverse, while the reverse has the usual softness on the left side of the eagle's leg up to the body. The luster on this coin is natural and appealing, being frosted and shimmering as the coin is tilted by the observer beneath a light. One small tick on the body above the hand; a little chatter in the drapery lines by the trailing leg. Originally and lightly toned. Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,300. Categories: Half Dollars
