1926-D. PCGS graded MS-66 Full Bands. CAC Approved. Nice light hint of tone. A frosty, highly lustrous gem with intense physical and visual appeal. Sharply struck in all central areas, hence the designation; not even a hint of weakness anywhere, the wing and all legends, finely detailed and at the bottom of the 6 in the date almost bold, a very weak 6 is typical for this D-mint date. A nearly superb coin, in other words, right on the borderline of MS67 quality, and a visual treat that ought to be near the top of the PCGS Population Report: Pop 20; 10 finer, 5 in 66+, 5 in 67 (PCGS # 4957) . Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,250. Categories: Mercury Dimes
