SWEDEN. 1/2 Daler Plate Money, 1683. Karl XI (1660-97).

4.75 x 4.25 in. KM-PM15; AAH-321; BT-A3. EXTREMELY RARE (Tingstrom: only 5 examples known including 1 piece from the Nicobar). Stamps boldly applied. The central stamp with full denomination and mintmark, four legible and three complete dates, with two stamps double struck. Very clear and apparent over date 1683/2 that is visible in all four stamps. Tan patina. Very well made and highly attractive.
