1852 N-21 R4 AU58. A lustrous mint state cent but there are a half dozen small spots of very fine carbon on the obverse and a couple more on the reverse. The notable spots are one on the upper right point of star 1, one above and another below star 10, and one on the E in CENT. Otherwise this cent is a very attractive lustrous light bluish steel brown and olive with underlying faded mint red covering the protected areas on both sides. LDS, die state c. A fine die crack reaches from the coronet through star 5 to the dentils to the left, and a die clashmark shows at the left top of the N in CENT. Very close to net MS60. Tied for CC#8.
