1/2 Dollar    (sold for $1900.0)

1915-S Panama-Pacific Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Soft pastel toning on the obverse in lovely shades, all adorning the satiny freshness that is the gem-level luster underneath. At the time of the Panama-Pacific Exposition, the San Francisco Mint managers thought of moving a coining press to the Exposition to produce commemorative half dollars on the spot. However, reality intervened, and all the coins were struck in the standard facility (PCGS # 9357) . Estimated Value $1,500 - 1,600. Categories: Commemorative Silver Coins
